Welcome to the Farm
Serenity Hill Flower Farm grows lush, seasonal blooms using regenerative and pollinator friendly practices. We welcome you to join us for our summer U-Pick Farm Events where you can wander the gardens to gather armfuls of fresh blooms, experience our fields of flowers filled with butterflies, take a peaceful walk around the pond, and enjoy the happy sights and sounds of our chickens, ducks and turkeys. We also offer wholesale stems for florists and designers who value locally grown, premium-quality flowers. You’ll also find retail market bouquets that are fresh, fragrant, & beautifully arranged - and perfect for gifting or brightening your home. And of course, when you take home our beloved organic rainbow eggs you'll add a little delicious farm joy to your table.
Meet Jayne
Years of learning, nurturing, teaching and patience bloomed into something truly special at Serenity Hill Flower Farm. After raising five children, earning a PhD, and retiring as a Professor and founding Program Director of the Speech-Language Pathology Program at DePaul University, it was time to cultivate something new and deeply meaningful in the next chapter of my life. I immersed myself in the joy of new learning in the study of horticulture & floriculture, pollinator-supporting native gardens, sustainable flower production, soil health, and, of course we can't forget - raising chickens, ducks and turkeys.
Our Story
After years of fast-paced professional life in Chicago, Jayne and Tom discovered Serenity Hill Farm. From the moment we arrived, we felt its magic! The stunning beauty of the glorious gardens, sunrises and sunsets, birds and butterflies, and the frogs and turtles invited us to slow down and connect with the rhythms of this fertile land. What began as a place of refuge quickly became our place of purpose. Serenity Hill Flower Farm was born.
We love sharing the farm with our beautiful blended family of seven children, their spouses, and four grandchildren (with one more on the way). Serenity Hill is filled with laughter, muddy boots, endless projects and a lively cast of chickens, ducks, and turkeys. (Miss Frizzle is our favorite chicken!)
We warmly welcome you to wander the flower fields with clippers in hand, learn something new at a workshop, or bring home a bouquet of glorious blooms grown by Jayne with love and care.
