As Serenity Hill has grown, we’ve been intentional about partnering with businesses that share many of the things we value: locally grown food and flowers, sustainability, connection to the land, memorable experiences and, perhaps most importantly, a genuine commitment to community.

Liberty Prairie Farm Store - Grays Lake, Illinois
We knew immediately that there was something special about Liberty Prairie Farm Store. Their simple but powerful message, “Food is Medicine” beautifully reflects their belief in the connection between good food, healthy land and healthy communities. The Farm Store features seasonal, organic and locally grown produce from farmers within 300 miles, along with goods from sustainable, small-scale producers. Liberty Prairie's work extends well beyond its store, with CSA farm shares, community gardens, educational programs, farm camps, field trips, workshops and opportunities for people to reconnect with agriculture and the land.
That philosophy feels incredibly aligned with what we are building at Serenity Hill. We believe that knowing where something comes from and who grew it matters - whether it is the food on your table or the flowers in your vase. Both of our farms celebrate seasonality, responsible growing practices and the value of supporting small, local producers. We love knowing that our flowers are surrounded by food and products grown and made with the same kind of care.

The Apple Barb Orchard & Winery - Elkhorn, Wisconsin
There may be no better way to celebrate fall in Wisconsin than a visit to The Apple Barn Orchard & Winery. This historic family farm has been welcoming visitors for generations and has grown into a beloved agritourism destination where families can experience liberty prairie and farm agriculture firsthand. Visitors can pick apples and other seasonal crops, explore the country store, enjoy cider donuts and other farm treats, and discover fruit wines handcrafted right on the farm.
This partnership with The Apple barn and their owners, Steve & Judy, is especially exciting to us because they shares something at the heart of Serenity Hill. We invite people to experience our farms. There is something wonderful about walking through an orchard and picking an apple from the tree or wandering through a flower field and choosing the blooms that speak to you. These experiences help people slow down, reconnect with the seasons and understand a little more about where the things they enjoy actually come from.
Beginning September 12, Serenity Hill will be joining the fall fun at The Apple Barn every weekend with our Bloom Bar. Pick your apples, enjoy everything the farm has to offer, and then stop by the Bloom Bar to choose beautiful locally grown flowers to take home. Apples and flowers? We think that's a pretty perfect fall combination.
The Green Grocer & Deli - Elkhorn, Wisconsin
The Green Grocer has become much more than a place to shop in Williams Bay. It is a true community gathering place. This woman owned business was founded in 2009 by owners Jennifer Veith, Dawn Marie Mancuso, and Jane Larson. The Green Grocer combines an organic market and deli with a coffee shop, bar, wine and specialty beverage offerings, prepared foods and gathering spaces. They often have live music, too! Their focus on organic and locally produced foods is wonderful, but what makes this business particularly special is the sense of connection they've created around food and drink.
That combination of good food, good drinks and good company feels right at home with Serenity Hill. We believe flowers can do much the same thing that a wonderful meal or cup of coffee can do: encourage us to slow down, enjoy the moment and connect with the people around us.

The Mug Coffeehouse - Harvard, Illinois
Some partnerships are especially meaningful simply because they begin right here at home.
The Mug Coffeehouse is one of those places that captures what we love about our hometown of Harvard. The Mug is owned by a brother-and-sister team who were born and raised in this community, and their vision has always been about something bigger than serving a great cup of coffee. As Lydia, one of the owners, who is also a nurse, shared with us, caring for people and creating meaningful connections have always been important to her. Together, she and her brother wanted to create a place where people could gather, build relationships and feel genuinely connected to their community.
That commitment shows up in the way The Mug supports other local businesses, showcases local artists, gives back to the community and creates a welcoming space that feels distinctly Harvard. It's a philosophy we wholeheartedly share. Serenity Hill is also rooted here, and we believe thriving small towns are built when local businesses support one another rather than simply operate alongside one another. Every collaboration, referral, bouquet, cup of coffee and conversation helps create a stronger community.

Some partnerships are especially meaningful simply because they begin right next door (actually down the road!).
We feel incredibly fortunate to have Piscasaw Gardens as our neighbors here in Harvard. From the beginning of our flower-farming journey, owners Jenny and Aaron have been incredibly welcoming and generous with their knowledge, encouragement and advice.
Piscasaw Gardens is a true local farming gem, growing an incredible selection of fresh seasonal vegetables and produce and selling at an impressive 10 farmers markets each week.
They're especially known for their delicious Mirai sweet corn, a specialty variety that's definitely worth seeking out! They also bring their growing talents to full-service wedding florals for celebrations throughout the area.
When you visit Serenity Hill, we highly recommend making Piscasaw Gardens your next stop on the way home. Fill your basket with fresh vegetables, grab some Mirai sweet corn, and don't leave without trying one of their homemade specialty popcorn treats for the ride home. 🌽
