Tips to keep your Serenity Hill tulips looking beautiful as long as possible.

Fresh, locally grown tulips are a little different from grocery store flowers. They are harvested at an earlier stage so they continue to grow and open beautifully in your vase. With just a little care, you can enjoy them for many days.
1. Give Them a Fresh Trim: When you bring your tulips home, trim about ½–1 inch off the bottom of the stems at a slight angle. This helps them drink water more easily.
2. Use a Clean Vase: Bacteria in a dirty vase can shorten the life of your flowers. Always start with a clean vase and fresh, cool water.
3. Keep the Water Fresh:Tulips are thirsty flowers!Replace the water every day or every other day and give the stems a quick trim when you refresh the water.
4. Keep Them Cool: Tulips love cool temperatures. Place your bouquet away from heat vents, direct sunlight, or warm appliances.
5. Expect Them to Keep Growing: One of the magical things about tulips is that they continue to grow and move in the vase, sometimes stretching another inch or two and gently bending toward the light. This natural movement is part of their charm.
6. Give Them Space: Tulips prefer a little breathing room in the vase. If the bouquet feels crowded, divide it into two smaller arrangements.
7. Keep Away from Ripening Fruit: Fruit releases ethylene gas which can shorten flower life. Keep tulips away from bowls of apples, bananas, or avocados.
8. Refresh the Look: If stems get a little wiggly, simply re-trim and place them in fresh water. They will often perk right back up.
Pro Tip from the Farm: If tulips start to droop, wrap the stems loosely in paper, trim the ends, and place them in deep cool water for about an hour. They often revive beautifully.
Enjoy your tulips and the little piece of spring they bring into your home.
